Background: Makoto is an ordinary young man living in the southern part of Shizukana in the Yamashi prefecture in Shinon. He goes to chūō Chiba University School and lives alone in an apartment. His hobbies are mostly playing video games and has some friends but not too much. He ends up meeting up with Maria in an alleyway and proclaims him as his "husband" he later calls the IST (Interspecies Security Taskforce) to take her away for a background check and put her in a shelter dedicated to Interspecies. He later meets her on a speed date, and IST talks to him and gives him details. They said that she comes from Interspecies Trafficking. They told him to keep her at his house due to the traffickers kidnapping her by coordinating where she usually goes if she goes to their shelter. With no other option, he has to keep her in his house.
